Water
Paynter Dixon has 20 years experience in delivering innovative solutions to water projects. Over time we have developed our design and construct capability to be world class, often in partnership with water and wastewater treatment technology providers and specialist consultant designers.
Our capabilities within the water sector include:
- Wastewater and water treatment plants
- Pump Stations
- Pipelines
- Reservoirs and tanks
Paynter Dixon has a proven track record of delivering water and wastewater projects in urban and remote regions and has a solid core of experienced personnel to deliver a wide variety of future water and wastewater projects. We offer clients an unrivalled breadth and depth of specialist experience in the water sector. We have in-house technical capabilities backed by broad experience that allows us to provide smart solutions tailored to the needs of our clients.
Our water capabilities include water treatment, wastewater treatment, water recycling and reuse, bulk water catchment, as well as water and wastewater transfer and network distribution.
Wastewater Treatment
Paynter Dixon has extensive experience in the design and construction of wastewater and water treatment plants. Many of our projects are delivered in Brownfield environments requiring high levels of flexibility, collaboration and an understanding of operating in a live environment.
Our in-house engineers, who support our strong water capability, provide multi-disciplinary design expertise in civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control, and structural engineering.
Nutrient removal, odour control and meeting rigorous environmental standards are major concerns for wastewater treatment facilities. Likewise, upgrades to facilities are critical to meet the demands of growing populations and increasingly stringent environmental requirements. Our innovative engineering and process teams provide tailored solutions that solve plant expansion, effluent quality and odour issues while taking into consideration site space, chemical consumption, budget and timing constraints. Our dedicated commissioning team provides expert planning and execution for the seamless commissioning of new works without impacting on current operations.
Water Recycling & reuse
Recycling is an environmentally friendly solution to the challenges that communities face in maintaining facilities such as public gardens and parklands in drought conditions. Paynter Dixon has contributed significant water recycling infrastructure to communities throughout northern Queensland.
Mindful of differing client and community needs, Paynter Dixon can cater for recycling to Class A, A+, or B quality water. We are able to integrate recycling systems into operating Brownfield sites or develop new Greenfield reuse facilities.
Water and Wastewater Transfer and Network Distribution
Moving water with pumping stations and pipelines, especially in and around existing, developed communities, requires special skills. Paynter Dixon’s quality, safety and environmental procedures ensure we interact with communities in a non-invasive way, providing new infrastructure safely and effectively.
Paynter Dixon has built some of the most extensive pipelines and transfer networks in Australia, as well as one of the largest pumping stations. We have used tunnelling to house unsightly or obstructive pipelines and have built sound-deadening structures to minimise pumping station noise.
Micro-tunnelling and trenchless solutions are part of a variety of delivery methods that allow us to provide a customised solution for our clients with minimum impact on the community.
Paynter Dixon provides upgrades to existing wastewater treatment facilities, limiting service disruptions to normal operations through careful planning and working closely with clients.
We take pride in our ability to work with plant operations staff throughout the development of projects, ensuring operations and maintenance issues are considered throughout design and construction.
